Method 1: Complete Arena of Annihilation
For players who have just reached level 90 or are playing on a low character, this is the perfect first step. After reaching level 90, queue up for Arena of Annihilation scenario. In just 10 minutes, defeat the fun mini-bosses and receive a free item level 450 weapon.
There’s no faster way to level up a weapon in the entire game.
Method 2: Auction House Shortcut
While this method isn’t completely free, it’s incredibly cheap and saves a ton of dungeon time, practically free when rounded up.
Search Auction House for Contender gear. For just a few hundred WoW MoP Classic gold, you can instantly get a complete 450-item-level Heroic set. Perfect for both PvP and dungeon crawling.
Add some of the new, cost-effective MoP Enchanting items, like Windsong on your weapon and Glorious Stats on your chest plate, and you’ll instantly max out your damage.
And a little tip: don’t forget your jewelry. Grab Ghost Iron Dragonling trinket, which has three customizable cogwheel sockets and is one of the strongest trinket items of any class at level 90.
Method 3: Defeat World Bosses
Want to easily get the best gear in the game? Hunt down world bosses like Sha of Anger and Galleon. IGGM has plenty of boss guides for players to check out.
The secret is, you only need to kill once to qualify for loot. Whether you’re a new character at level 90 or level 85, you can join a party and fight.
Clicking on the boss gives you a chance to get powerful 483 item-level PvP gear, which is super powerful in raids. You might even get best-in-slot (BiS) gear – like a free lottery ticket – and you can reap Epic loot in just 15-20 minutes.
Players are advised to use their bonus Bonus Rolls to fight Galleon weekly, then switch targets after Heart of Fear launches to grab those sets.
Method 4: PvP Playstyle
PvP gear is incredibly powerful in PvE, and it’s perfectly feasible to maximize DPS with Conquest gear. Surprisingly, the fastest way to start your PvP gear journey isn’t actually playing PvP.
We need to first prepare the basic Honor gear, which will yield a full set of 458 item-level gear, even more powerful than Justice gear.
The fastest way to farm Honor is to farm Heroic dungeons. Once you’ve earned Justice Points, you can redeem them for Honor Points in Stormwind City or Orgrimmar. This is much faster than farming Battlegrounds. With the exception of Wintergrasp, remember to farm every three hours.
The real kicker is Conquest gear, which is item-level 483 Epic gear. Don’t assume you have to be a PVP expert to get it. Queue up for 2v2 Arenas, and even if you lose every time, you can still earn enough points to reach the weekly Conquest cap in 90 minutes.
I did this myself: I got best-in-slot (BiS) gear in my first week. Then, after 90 minutes of double DPS in the second week, I got a super powerful 483 item-level weapon. Combined with Dancing Steel, I immediately topped the dungeon’s damage meters.
And everything is cumulative; the cap rolls over. Even if you don’t play your alt one week, you can still catch up next week by redoubled effort. You won’t fall behind at all.
Method 5: Patiently Crafting Equipment
If you want top-tier dungeon gear, besides investing tons of MoP WoW gold at Auction House, patient crafting is also crucial.
When WoW MoP Classic first launched, crafting Epic gear was incredibly expensive, but now, materials like Living Steel have plummeted in price.
Forget investing in chest plates and gloves at Auction House. Ask your guild-mates or friends for discounted gear. Crafted gear offers even greater discounts, and these items are nearly Mogu’Shan Vault-level quality, with impressive damage.
However, the ultimate long-term investment I think everyone should own is the Reinforced Retinal Armor Engineering helmet. It’s the best item for the foreseeable future, offering bonus stats for dungeons thanks to its powerful Tinkers, and it’s a must-have for Challenge Mode.
This helmet can also be sold for a fortune, and you can keep it for Mists of Pandaria Classic Gold. After all, it has plenty of gem slots, so even if it’s leveled down to 463, it won’t affect its power.
Method 6: Truly Free Raid Gear
The ultimate source of free gear in the game: Celestial Dungeons! Think of them as super-sized Heroics dungeons, queued like regular dungeons, but at least 30% more difficult, with incredibly generous rewards.
Players will earn currency that can be redeemed for randomized loot levels, with everything rolling out in phases.
WoW Classic’s Mists of Pandaria launched Mogu’Shan Vaults raid on July 31st, followed by the release of Heart of Fear and Terrors of Endless Spring, which will also feature powerful raid sets.
But with these strategies, you can get a full set of epic raid gear without having to participate in any organized raids. This is truly free loot, available on an unprecedented scale and even for alts.
